there are two more pretty good builds for adders, those are 4MPLs on one variant and 2ER-PPCs on the third. You'll get decent badass firepower for the little bug and the best is you'll be barely noticed as a threat on the battlefield :)

you probably mean instead of the radar dep? well that's not a bad idea especially in group or cw fights, were the lurm spam is much less. but consider the lesser footprint with the dep. you leave when walking out of enemy sight, even for a streak boater is it harder to keep you locked.

I would loose both range modules and put in srm 4 & 6 cooldown + seismic instead, leaving radar dep where it is. I don't think Lily suggested to exchange radar dep for seismic but to get rid of one weapon module.

And yes, I like the srm builds best for the adder.

If you wanna go for max dps you exactly should do this. but i prefer that 10% bit of extra range. i often find myself in situations where i'm really happy getting my alpha delivered because of it :)

Thats why I normally don't mix the srm4s and srm6s and then take both reload and range for that rare volley that would not have hit otherwise. But I kinda stopped poking at maximum range of my weapon systems which nets me better results more consistently.

Anyway, nice to meet another adder fan. ;)

SRMs make an excellent adder build, so long as you know how to use it properly. I generally use them for fire support, find some heavies and assaults they take the shots and I fire missiles into the enemy team

Love my 2 cerppc Adder....lil sniping death machine...except against firestarters who can shrug off 8 erppc shots to the CT without losing any armor....

3x ER Meds

Those are my two favorite Adders builds!

I wanted to have a clan light mech so I bought all three Kit Foxes and hated every moment in those things. Finally got frustrated enough with the Kit Fox to sell all three and buy all three Adders.

Haven't regretted doing that. The Adder is still harder to work with than the IS lights due to speed, but it's more than serviceable with some high mounted hardpoints and good firepower. Even the combo of JJs and ECM couldn't save the Kit Fox.

EDIT: Adding builds

Adder Prime

Adder A

Adder D

well when the only proper wepaon ahrdpoints are in the arms, its very porblematic for low hp mechs. see mlx.

Every time I see a Mist Lynx and I'm in a Commando I just feel bad for what I'm about to do to that player.

Had this convo in game the other day....

Player X: Dire Wolves can barely run 2 CERPPC builds, why do you think you can do it in an Adder?

Me: Because I know how.

That extra mobility does a LOT for being able to run hot builds.

As does being smaller in general. :P
